Getting Started

How do I create an account?

Getting started is easy:

  1. Visit our signup page and choose your plan
  2. Enter your details and complete payment
  3. Verify your email address
  4. Start exploring trails and challenges

What's included in my membership?

Your membership includes:

  • Unlimited access to our Utah trail database
  • Monthly hiking challenges with digital badges
  • Hike logging and statistics
  • Detailed trail information and difficulty ratings
  • Regular updates with new trails and challenges

How do I log a hike?

  1. Go to your dashboard
  2. Find the trail you hiked and click "Log Hike"
  3. Enter the date and any notes or photos
  4. Save — it will automatically count toward active challenges

What are monthly challenges?

Each month we release a new hiking challenge — complete a set of trails, hit an elevation target, or explore a specific region. Finish the challenge and earn a digital badge for your trophy case.

Account & Billing

How do I reset my password?

  1. Go to the login page
  2. Click "Forgot Password"
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Check your inbox for a reset link and follow it

How do I update my profile?

Visit your profile settings to update your name, email, profile picture, and other information.

Can I change my subscription plan?

Yes — upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime from your billing settings. Changes take effect at the next billing cycle.

What is your refund policy?

We offer full refunds within 30 days of your initial purchase. For cancellations mid-cycle, you keep access until the end of the billing period. Contact us to request a refund.

How do I cancel my subscription?

  1. Go to billing settings
  2. Click "Manage Subscription"
  3. Follow the prompts to cancel

Access continues until the end of your current billing period.

The 10 Hiking Essentials

  1. Navigation — Map, compass, or GPS with downloaded offline maps
  2. Headlamp — With extra batteries, even on day hikes
  3. Sun protection — Sunglasses, SPF 30+ sunscreen, sun hat
  4. First aid kit — Include personal medications and blister care
  5. Knife or multi-tool — For gear repair or emergencies
  6. Fire — Lighter, matches, or fire starter in a waterproof container
  7. Shelter — Emergency bivy or space blanket
  8. Extra food — More than you expect to need
  9. Extra water — Plus a way to purify more (filter, tablets)
  10. Extra clothing — Insulating layer and rain protection

Trail Difficulty Ratings

Beginner

Well-maintained, minimal elevation gain. Suitable for first-time hikers and families.

Easy

Mostly gentle terrain with light elevation. Good for casual walks at a relaxed pace.

Moderate

Some elevation gain, may have rocky or uneven sections. Reasonable fitness needed.

Strenuous

Significant elevation gain, challenging terrain. Good fitness and trail experience required.

Expert

Very challenging, steep and exposed sections. Excellent fitness and navigation skills required.

I can't log in to my account

  • Double-check your email address and password
  • Make sure Caps Lock is off
  • Try resetting your password via the login page
  • Clear your browser cookies and try again
  • Make sure your account email is verified

My hikes aren't saving

Make sure you have a stable internet connection when submitting hike data, then refresh and try again. If the issue persists, contact support.

Images won't upload

  • Check the file size — maximum 10 MB
  • Use a supported format: JPG, PNG, or WebP
  • Try on a stable connection
  • Try a different browser if the issue continues
