A community for Utah hikers
Tourists get the crowded overlooks. You get the trails locals keep quiet about. Utah Hike Adventure hands you a curated list of the state's best hikes — famous or barely known — plus the right window to catch each at its best. Monthly challenges. A community that actually laces up. The scouting's done — your next trail is waiting.

This month · August2026
The August Summit Seeker challenge is all about reaching a peak, taking in the view and choosing a climb that matches your experience level. The list includes everything from approachable first summits to demanding all-day objectives, with options across northern, central and southern Utah. Because August brings both extreme heat and afternoon thunderstorms, many of this month’s hikes begin at higher elevations. Start early, check the forecast and trail access before leaving, carry plenty of water and turn around if weather or conditions become unsafe. You do not need to complete the hardest peak to complete the challenge. Choose one that challenges you safely, stand on a summit and celebrate how far you climbed.
